Look: Lakers Give Awesome Gift To Babies Born On Kobe Birthday

The Los Angeles Lakers celebrate Kobe Bryant every day and his birthday was no exception. Kobe would have celebrated his 44th birthday. The NBA world poured in tributes for the Black Mamba. Speeches, murals, songs… Diehard fans tried really hard to make this day special.

The Lakers found the most perfect way of celebrating the basketball legend. They made a Kobe-themed gift package to newborns at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital who were born on the same day as Kobe.

The package included Kobe No. 24 shirts for the parents, a Lakers baby blanket, and No.8 beanie for the babies. Oh, yes, there was also a letter from the team and the hospital.

“One of your family’s most special days has landed on one of our organization’s most celebrated days. On this year’s Kobe Day, here’s to our next-generation Lakers fan. They’ve already got a little of the Mamba Mentality in them.”

These babies will definitely respect this gesture once they grow up. The Lakers did a wonderful thing. It was definitely a way to take things a step further on such a great day. Jeanie Buss wouldn’t let this day go unnoticed. She wasn’t the only one. Every member of the Lakers family honored Kobe. This goes to every sports fan out there. Kobe was a legend and people admire his greatness.

Babies at the children’s hospital may not become stars, but they will definitely be motivated to do great things, just like Kobe. Maybe they will follow his path and become experts in their own way.

Buss and the Lakers can’t get over the terrible loss. The Lakers owner said she misses Kobe and this tweet sparkled a debate in the NBA. Many thought this was a jab at LeBron James, but Buss told the world that she just misses the Lakers legend. His experience and great career would make him the perfect consultant, but things don’t always go the way we hope. Kobe died at a really young age and we miss him every day. But, hey, true legends never die!
