Patriots Player Apologizes For Trashing Team After Loss To Giants

The New England Patriots suffered a terrible loss to the New York Giants and players were visibly frustrated. Some of them made surprising comments following the loss and their reactions caused a chaos on social media. Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers made waves after trashing his team. He told Giants running back Saquon Barkley, “You’re lucky we a**.”

It was wrong on so many levels. Patriots players struggle to make an impact this season, but this was just too much. Let’s just say Peppers crossed the red line with this one.

Patriots could benefit from their loss to the Giants

Peppers got the message and learned his lesson. He offered honest apology to his team on Friday. He apologized to his teammates and coaches, but pointed out to an important fact. His team has a more important thing to focus on. They have a terrible record at the moment and everyone has to improve.

“First of all, I just want to apologize to my teammates and coaches for even having to answer questions about that. We got more important things to worry about than me being caught on a hot mic,” Peppers said. “At the end of the day, we’re 2-9 and have a top-five pick in the draft that didn’t come via trade. We all know the standard and what it’s supposed to look like and it’s not right now.”Being 2-9 at this point of the regular season gives the Patriots a chance to pick a player in the top 5 of the 2024 NFL season. Head coach Bill Belichick has a chance to grab a player who can fill one of the biggest voids on his roster. New England could use a quarterback, wide receiver and even running back. Rhamondre Stevenson could really use some help on the field.

When it comes to the 2023 NFL season, Belichick will probably use the rest of the games to adjust his winning formula and see who stays on his roster for the upcoming season. Will Mac Jones keep his job as a starter?
