Rob Gronkowski Reaction To Bill Belichick Exit Might Surprise Fans

Rob Gronkowski spent nine seasons with the New England Patriots before calling it career. Well, he did come out of his retirement to join Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They won a title together and there was a strong rumor about Gronk’s stint with the Patriots. Yes, Gronkowski finished his career with a different team, but he does like Bill Belichick and the Patriots organization.

Gronk is happy to share details of his time with the Patriots. He talked about the team once again in the latest episode of the “Eye on Foxborough” podcast. The former Patriots quarterback shared his thoughts on Belichick’s departure, offering details on his role over the past two decades.

“It was very sad to see Coach Belichick go because there wouldn’t have been a dynasty, there wouldn’t have been 20-plus years of a winning culture in New England without Coach Belichick,” Gronkowski said, as transcribed by MassLive. “He set the standard. Coach Belichick was the standard. Without him, none of this was possible. There’s no doubt about that. To see him go was sad. I mean, I had a tear. Without him, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Every good thing comes to an end, there’s no doubt about that. Now it’s time to flip the New England Patriots and see where they’re going.”

Gronkowski has great respect for Belichick

Belichick is the best head coach in NFL history and knows everything about the game. Seeing him leave New England shocked the entire NFL world. The Patriots didn’t win many games in the last few seasons, but Belichick was the pillar of the organization. He should’ve stayed a little longer with the team. Belichick is the team.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft didn’t want to lose Belichick in order to keep Tom Brady on the roster. He did lose him now. Will this decision be any good for the Patriots?
