Everyone is raging about LeBron James’ new game with the Los Angeles Lakers, including his new teammate Lance Stephenson.
According to him, LeBron James was super interested in him. Is Lance Stephenson right? He even expects LeBron to “sic” him on basketball opponents.
Lance couldn’t reach an agreement with the Indiana Pacers, and then signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
“Magic (Johnson) called me and he told me LeBron was interested, very interested in me,” Lance said. “Give me a few hours to make this decision,” he told Johnson. “I decided to go there and, hopefully, we will win a lot of games and have fun,” Lance added.
Lance also believes that all the taunting he did to King James throughout the years, including the ear-blow, will be turned on the Lakers’ opponents. “Yeah, he’s probably going to sic me on people. It’ll be fun. It will be a very interesting year, just playing with him and winning games with him,” Stephenson added.
Lance Stephenson signed a one-year deal, and this may bring Pacers president Kevin Pritchard to his door, asking him to come back. “Oh, of course. This is home. Of course. I would always want to come back here,” Stephenson said during his thank you party in Incrediplex.
Pritchard talked about Stephenson during the news conference at which he introduced free agent acquisitions Tyreke Evans and Doug McDermott.
“We stayed in constant communication with him. At the end of the day, Lance gave us some great years. We love Lance. We love Lance on the court, we love Lance off the court. Sometimes, he was the best player on our team and sometimes he was the best player on the other team,” Pritchard said. That was actually a joke. An itchy one.
Let’s see how will James and Stephenson play together.
