Shaquille O’Neal Makes Huge Statement About LeBron James

LeBron James’ decision to become free agent was the hottest topic of the 2018 NBA offseason. His contract with the Los Angeles Lakers was even a bigger deal, and Shaquille O’Neal talks about his achievements.

We all knew that LeBron had a few teams on his mind, and the Lakers attracted his full attention. Although some thought he’d stay with the Cavs, King James had other plans for his future. Does Shaquille O’Neal support him?

LeBron’s departure from Cleveland is related to his desire to win more championships. Will the Lakers help him get that far?

Shaq believes that LeBron’s legacy is already cemented, and he doesn’t even need to try that hard.

“Somebody told me a long time ago — they said your book is already set [before the later stages of your career]. You can add index pages toward the end, but your book is already set. So LeBron’s book is already set. He done already passed up legends; he done already made his mark — he has three rings. His mentality now is probably: I want to get four before [Golden State Warriors guard] Steph [Curry] does. That’s probably his mentality now. But if I was him, I wouldn’t be trying to get four, five and six because it ain’t going to matter. It’s just something else to talk about, something else to add to the pages. He’s a legend, talked about as who is the best between he and Michael Jordan, so he’s set,” the Lakers legend said.

Shaq is right. LeBron is already a legend, but hey, this man wants to give his best while he still can. There’s nothing wrong with winning more championships and awards, right? And King James will sure win a couple of these. That’s why he went to Los Angeles this summer.
