Watch: Caster Semenya Meets LeBron James In Berlin!

Seeing two world powers meet is probably the most exciting thing you will ever see. What happens when two great people meet? A new South African record. That’s exactly what happened after the meeting of LeBron James and Caster Semenya.

Caster Semenya competed at the IAAF World Challenge in Berlin, and managed to set a new SA mark of 2:30.70. Semenya charged around the Olympic Stadium track in the 1 000m, and showed everyone what raw power means.
Who was there to support her run? NBA star LeBron James came straight from Los Angeles to support Semenya.

The Los Angeles Lakers latest addition arrived in Germany as part of his “More Than An Athlete Tour.” LeBron was already in Paris, and we saw him hanging out with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

What was the next stop? It was time to see Olympic and world 800m champion Semenya in her brightest light. The duo even posed for pictures.

James’ associate Ernie Ramos posted pics and videos on Instagram, showing that King James also visited the Berlin Wall and stood next to the mural of Nelson Mandela.

Semenya had a pretty busy season racing at a high level since February. She won her third consecutive overall Diamond League 800m title, and is ready for some more.

“It was a great race, a little bit tiring, as I was leading the whole field. But I am happy about the time. It is not only about running fast, it is about feeling your body, and we have done what we could. The crowd was fantastic, it was great being invited to the ISTAF, this meeting and the stadium are amazing,” Semenya said.

It was nice to see the stars having some great time together. LeBron always finds time for the people he cares about despite his tight schedule.
