Watch: Lonzo Ball Suffers Scary Ankle Injury Vs. Nuggets

Lonzo Ball did not have the best start of his professional career. He was the NO. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft a couple of years ago, but he struggled on the court. Ball could not shoot from three-point range. Things got worse after LeBron James arrived in Los Angeles.

Ball had a really hard time, but eventually tried to learn how to play alongside LeBron. That was not his only problem.

Ball suffered an ankle injury during the Lakers game against the Denver Nuggets. The young talent limped to the locker room, and was questionable to return. He suffered a sprained ankle.

Ball did not have trouble with injuries in high school. However, his rookie season was not that good. He finished it with a knee issue, and had to undergo a surgery to fix his meniscus.

Ball was out of the court for quite some time, and missed part of the Lakers training camp and the preseason. He started the regular season on the bench behind veteran Rajon Rondo, but his condition got better over time. Ball earned his place on starting lineup, and contributed to the game on the court.

Ball suffered another injury, but we cannot say anything else on it as we do not have much info. It is still early to draw conclusion, but knee surgeries are always a bad scenario for point guards.

Will the Lakers start questioning Ball’s readiness to stay in the team for too long? We really hope he gets good news on his ankle injury and diminish those questions. Ball is too young to suffer serious problems in career, but things like this happen once in a while. Let’s see how will things develop for the young player. Maybe the Lakers will come up with a better solution.
