LeBron James Makes Kawhi Leonard And Kyrie Irving Free Agency Claim

Kyrie Irving and Kawhi Leonard will become free agents this summer. Free agency always brings a challenge, and LeBron James talked about it.

According to the king of basketball, his decision to add Irving and Leonard in his All-Star team is in no way related to their impending free agency.

The Los Angeles Lakers are still trying to sign a big name. They were after New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis, but the team was asking for too much. Eventually, they rejected all six of his offers.

LA is now planning to catch another player, including the big fish in the sea. Irving and Leonard are two of the most popular names at the moment. The same applies to the Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant.

LeBron mentioned these players as part of the starting lineup for the All-Star game.

“It’s all good and well and dandy, but for me, I picked according to my draft board, and I picked according to who was the best available,” LeBron said. “It just so happened that I had KD, who’s a pending free agent, and Kyrie, who’s a pending free agent. James [Harden] is under contract until 2030. Kawhi’s a free agent.”

Pelicans chief Dell Demps revealed the details about Anthony Davis and his link with Los Angeles.

“Anthony Davis will play the remainder of the 2018-19 season for the New Orleans Pelicans,” he said. “A number of factors contributed to this decision. Ultimately, Anthony made it clear to us that he wants to play and he gives our team the best opportunity to win games. Moreover, the Pelicans want to preserve the integrity of the game and align our organisation with NBA policies. We believe Anthony playing upholds the values that are in the best interest of the NBA and its fans.”
