Tom Brady Has Awesome Response To Ryan Shazier’s New Recovery Video

Talent recognizes talent, and that’s exactly what Tom Brady did after seeing Ryan Shazier’s latest video.

Brady took some time to praise Pittsburgh’s linebacker on social media. In the video, we can see Shazier doing box jumps.

Last month, the team announced the capacity in which the linebacker will assist the squad next season. Shazier will not play next season as he recovers from the spine stabilization surgery he had in December 2017. He will also have his contract tolled into 2019. In other words, Shazier will be part of the team’s roster and will be placed on the team’s Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list. Yes, he will even be paid for the season, and the Steelers will cover his regular medical insurance.

“We will continue to support Ryan’s efforts to return to play,” Steelers GM Kevin Colbert said in a statement  “Although he won’t be able to help us on the field in 2019, his leadership, insight, and emotional support have always been very valuable to us, and we look forward to his contributions in our pursuit of a championship.”

Shazier was a 15th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He missed seven games in his rookie season, and his best performance came in Week 2 in the 2015 season. Shazier had 15 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the 43-19 win over the San Francisco.

The linebacker accept an award in Columbus, Ohio, and talked about the past 15 months.

“I really can’t complain at all,” he said. “Just trusting the Lord and working hard. I do feel like, just having my family and having a positive mindset and just feeling like I’m going to get better. If I didn’t think about getting better and thought that things wouldn’t change, I would be stuck where I’m at. I’m truly just thankful that I have a great mindset.

“I still plan on trying to play football. I’m constantly just working and trying to figure out what I’m going to do off the field also. Maybe coaching, maybe getting into business. But right now, my main goal is to play football.”
