Brandon Bolden Rocks Amazing ‘Hey Arnold’ Shirt To Patriots Preseason Opener

Brandon Bolden has a surprise for all the 90’s kids out there. The running back enjoys his second stint with the New England Patriots, and he arrived at Ford Field for the Patriots preseason opener against the Detroit Lions.

The 29-year-old arrived wearing a “Hey Arnold” shirt.

Bolden was really surprised when the Patriots showed interest in his talent. Again.

“I was very surprised,” he said of the Patriots’ interest in signing him this offseason. “It was actually funny, the day before, my wife asked me, she was like, ‘Would you want to go back?’ And I was like, ‘I mean, it would be easy. I know the system. I know everybody there. Even with the coaches leaving, I still know everybody there.’ And sure enough, the next day, I got a phone call, so it was great. I’m happy to be back, excited to get back to work. I missed this place. It’s like home.

“Like I said, it was a lot easier. Even the stint in Miami, I had a great time, but it was kind of hard because it was a different system, new people. I had to learn the players, learn the coaches, learn the system. And here, I don’t have to do that. I mean, they might change a few players here and there and a couple new faces everywhere, but it’s not that hard. So it’s almost the same thing. It’s like you grew up in this hometown your entire life, I went off to college for a few years and now I’m back home and everything’s still the same where I left it. So it’s pretty good.”

His stint with the Miami Dolphins helped him love the Patriots even more.

“The grass always isn’t greener on the other side,” he said. “You kind of step out, and you always hear stories of people coming here and [saying], ‘Yeah, we did this there and we did this.’ No, we do this all one way. And I had my mindset going down there that I was going to keep everything the same, and it was like — we clashed on a lot of things. We talked about a lot of things. But here, stuff works for a reason. And that’s why I said — I’m going to keep saying it — this is home. I can’t help it.”
