Colin Cowherd Sums Up Miami’s Upset Win Over New England In Three Words

The New England Patriots lost the regular-season finale to the Miami Dolphins. Patriots fans hoped for a win and a first-round bye. Well, this didn’t happen, and Colin Cowherd summed up the Patriots’ loss. The Dolphins are the worst team in the league at the moment, but they defeated the Super Bowl champions.

The Patriots will now embark on a postseason run. Cowherd found the perfect three words to sum up the loss.

“Dolphins-Patriots: Bye-bye, bye,” he said on FS1’s “The Herd.” “Patriots have had a bye a lot of years, and it’s over. Now, they go on the road. The Patriots are 27-7 with a bye since 2001. They’re 3-3 without a bye. It matters.”

The host has also discussed the Patriots dynasty and its power. Is this the end of the Patriots dynasty?

“I’ve been saying this for the past couple years. I think, generally, dynasties end gradually,” Cowherd said Monday afternoon. “What the Warriors are doing this year is rare. … What you’re seeing with New England, we’ve seen before, and it’s called the San Antonio Spurs with Tim Duncan. The Patriots are good enough, due to a great system and coach, to win a division. But they’re not a home-field advantage through the playoff team, they’re not good enough to get a bye, and they’re clearly not athletic and dynamic like Kansas City, San Francisco, New Orleans or Baltimore.”

Instead of enjoying a well-deserved rest, the Patriots will have to play the Tennessee Titans on Saturday night. This was the least expected scenario for the Patriots nation, but it happened. New England can get away with a win. Losing a game to the Dolphins was a tough hit, but they will use it as a motivation.

Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy said his team is on a revenge tour. What does this mean? The Patriots will get a chance to fix the mistakes they made in the past few seasons. Defeating the Titans will be great. Defeating the Chiefs is even better. New England has already lost a game to the Chiefs. Game on, Pats, you’ve got this!
