LeBron James Addresses Anthony Davis’ Condition After Injury

LeBron James helped the Los Angeles Lakers win the game over the New York Knickers at Staples Center. He didn’t have Anthony Davis’ full support as the All-Star suffered an injury in the third quarter of the game.

LeBron posted a game-high 31 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and blocked a shot in the 117-87 win over New York on Tuesday night. The Lakers put an end to their 4-game losing streak with a 6-game winning streak. They are 30-7 at this point of the season. The Knicks are 10-27.

King James addressed Davis’ condition right after the game. Davis told him to win this game for him. That’s exactly what LeBron did. He played through an illness, and that’s really impressive.

Davis’ injury gave us a scare. He had a nasty fall and landed on his lower back. He was laying on the floor for a long time and was helped to stand on his field. Davis left the floor without any help, but it was more than obvious that he was in pain.

When LeBron asked Davis if he could do anything for him, Davis told him to win.

Davis suffered a sacral contusion but will join the team for the two-game trip. His X-rays are negative, and he will probably play. His MRI is clear, too.

This was an unexpected blow for the Lakers in their effort to make the playoffs. The team sits on top of the Western Conference, but the players need to stay healthy to play at this pace. With this injury, LeBron will lose his strongest ally on the floor. LeBron and Davis make the perfect duo in the NBA, and they can defeat pretty much any other team.

The Lakers have to be careful with their both superstars. They gave up a lot to sign Davis, and LeBron has a thick deal, too. Interestingly, Davis turned down the offer for a max contract extension, and he is only focused on this season. He will probably hit free agency in July just to check up on the offers he is expected to receive.
