Report: Raiders Predicted to Sign Tom Brady & Trade for Star WR

March 18 is an important day for every NFL team. It’s the first day of the free agency, and many teams will try to sign a big name. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is the biggest fish in the sea. TB12 will enter the open market. The New England Patriots can prevent this by offering him a good deal. If they don’t give him a good contract, Tom Brady may sign with the Las Vegas Raiders on one hand, and they may trade for a star wideout on the other.

The team has a new stadium in a state with no income tax, and let’s just say that Brady will love the young roster. This makes the Raiders an attractive destination for Brady. He has spent his entire career with the New England Patriots. Is Brady interested in finding a new home? Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the Raiders will go after the GOAT should the Patriots let him go.

Will the Raiders get Tom Brady and trade for a star WR?

Sheil Kapadia of The Athletic reported that Brady may stay with the Patriots. According to him, if Brady goes anywhere else, he will pick Las Vegas.

“The Raiders have an offensive line that produced the sixth-lowest sack rate last year. They’ve got a stud running back who can make plays in the passing game in Josh Jacobs and a dynamic tight end in Darren Waller. Hunter Renfrow had a promising rookie season in the slot. And the Raiders have the resources to add a dynamic wide receiver to pair with Tyrell Williams on the outside. Jon Gruden has an affinity for veteran quarterbacks and has said nothing to indicate he’s fully committed to Derek Carr going forward. Heading to Las Vegas (no state income tax!) could end up being an appealing option to Brady. Is the scenario I laid out likely? No. But is it possible? I think so.”

Brady may be interested in testing the free market just to encourage Kraft to give him a better deal.

Brady may not be the only star Las Vegas plans to go after. They may trade for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Schefter explained that Brady will leave the Patriots if he finds a better team somewhere else. He needs better weapons than the players he had in 2019. Diggs will sure attract Brady’s attention. But, will Mike Mayock be interested in sealing a deal? Diggs is 26, and his deal goes through 2023.

There were so many rumors about Diggs’ future. Some said the Vikings would trade him away. Something change in Minnesota and Diggs finished with 1,130 receiving yards.
