NFL Writer Makes Interesting Prediction On Patriots N’Keal Harry’s Second Year With The Team

The New England Patriots had high expectations from wideout N’Keal Harry in his first campaign with the team. However, the rookie didn’t see much action due to the injury he suffered before the start of the season. Head coach Bill Belichick needed a lot of time to bring Harry on the field. Remember what Tedy Bruschi said about this? The former Patriots linebacker thought that the Patriots were having a second thought about Harry. Well, Harry got his chance, but his rookie season wasn’t really good.

ESPN’s Field Yates predicted that the wideout would be the 2019 rookie who makes the greatest jump in his second season in the league. Harry suffered a lot of injuries and he was slowed down. Yates doesn’t take this into consideration. He is convinced that Harry will do a great job in 2020.

“It was a slow start impacted by injuries — he had 12 catches in seven games — but a close look at Harry’s traits reveals a physical, imposing presence,” Yates wrote. “The Patriots will likely be busy shopping for pass-catchers this offseason, but Harry’s development is a prime route to get better; I’m a firm believer he’ll look like a stud in 2020.”

Harry was selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spends half of the season on injured reserve. Belichick introduced him to the world in Week 11. The rookie finished the season with 12 catches for 105 yards and two scores.

Tom Brady and N’Keal Harry may click well together with the Patriots

Tom Brady will probably re-sign with the New England Patriots. If he returns, he will share the field with an improved wideout. The Patriots offense struggled a lot in 2019, and hopefully, this will change now. Harry and Brady may finally click together. Maybe Harry will become his favorite target.

New England has to think of the receiving corps. They have been really inconsistent in that part of the ball. Wideouts came and left. Julian Edelman was the best of them all. Brown played just one game, and the Patriots cut him. Mohamed Sanu arrived late in the season. This offseason is really important for the Patriots, and they will have to try really hard to fix the damage. They won two Super Bowls in three seasons prior to 2019. Maybe it’s time to try out some of the old tricks Belichick used against his opponents.

Brady is a priority at the moment. New England may lose a lot of players in free agency. Phillip Dorsett is probably the first to go.
