Patriots Have Reportedly “Done Their Homework” On 1 QB Prospect

Tom Brady has already moved to Tampa Bay, leaving the New England Patriots with an empty roster spot. Of course, head coach Bill Belichick will have to think twice before allowing others to replace Brady. No one can replace TB12. But, on thing stands for sure. Belichick and the Patriots are ready to hunt down a talented prospect. Or two.

Will New England target a quarterback prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft? They may be looking at Utah State’s Jordan Love. He could be an excellent option for the Patriots.

Brady left a big void, and Belichick has to act quickly. He’s been the pillar of the organization for two decades. New England is packed with talent, but playing without Brady would give them a lot of trouble in the upcoming season. Brady is the GOAT, remember?

The Patriots have second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham ready to replace Brady. Brian Hoyer is also here. But we don’t know whether Belichick is ready give Stidham such a big role. Love may be a great option, and several NFL teams have shown interest in him. This includes the Patriots.

Jeremy Fowler from ESPN reports that the Patriots and five other NFL teams have “done their homework” on the quarterback prospect ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft.

“Among teams doing varying levels of homework on Love, according to sources: Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins, among several others.”

Will the Patriots get their prospect on time?

New England has the No. 23 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Love may not be available by that point. A lot of teams want him on the roster, so Belichick may not get him on time.

Maybe the head coach will trade up to get him. The first round of the draft starts off on April, 23, and Belichick is ready to roll. He is the master of NFL Drafts, and he is definitely not going home empty-handed. Belichick has a lot of great experience and he is the GOAT among all head coaches in the league. This means that he’d get the best of the draft. Who is coming to Foxboro?
