Watch: LeBron James Shows Off The Incredible Shoes He Was Supposed To Wear During 2020 Playoffs

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James hasn’t won an MVP award in nearly a decade. However, he is still the first player mentioned when discussing which superstar would be the NBA MVP. If the NBA decides to implement a single-elimination tournament as a replacement for their playoffs, King James and the Los Angeles Lakers would move on with a big advantage. The team sits on top of the Western Conference, and they are definitely moving on. LeBron shared a video of the shoes he was going to wear for the 2020 playoffs, and we love them!

We don’t know whether the NBA will move forward with the remainder of the regular season. The coronavirus pandemic has caught the world off guard and it seems we will be stuck in a state of uncertainty for a really long time.

LeBron and his chances to win the 2020 Playoffs

One thing stands for sure, both players and fans want a champion to be crowned, even if the ceremony is scheduled for this summer. One of the ideas includes shortening the postseason and implementing a single-elimination format.

In that case, each playoff series would be shrunk from best-of-seven to a winner-take-all process. It’s pretty similar to the NCAA’s March Madness tournament.

Any NBA team can be sent home on any given day. We wouldn’t bet against LeBron and his tis team. His elimination games have been crazy. Here are some examples:

Game 4 of 2018 NBA Finals (L): 23 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists

Game 7 of 2018 WCF (W): 35 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists

Game 6 of 2018 WCF (W): 46 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists

Game 7 of 2018 First Round (W): 45 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists

Game 5 of 2017 NBA Finals (L): 41 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists

LeBron is well known s for delivering his best game when facing elimination. He has an assassin’s approach to these games and plays with a noticeably different demeanor when the stakes are higher than usual.

In his iconic Game 6 performance against the Boston Celtics in 2012, the Miami Heat were down 3-2 in the series. What did LeBron do? He scored 45 points and 15 rebounds on 19-of-26 shooting from the floor. LeBron also led the Cleveland Cavaliers back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Golden State Warriors in 2016. Remember when he scored 25 straight points in 2007 to take a 3-2 lead over the Detroit Pistons?
