Kevin Love Realizes Key Michael Jordan-LeBron James Similarity
The Last Dance triggered an avalanche of reactions. A lot of fans are focused on the GOAT debate. The discussion revolves around LeBron James and Michael Jordan. What does Kevin Love say about this?
Love believes that LeBron and Jordan are more similar than most fans would admit. A lot of people have argued that these modern times have extrapolated the magnifying glass on King James. Truth is, Jordan received his share of criticism back then.
“I always had the idea back then because there was no social media and there wasn’t that scrutiny,” Kevin Love said of Michael Jordan and the ’90s Bulls after watching The Last Dance, according to Mark Medina of USA TODAY Sports. “But it’s almost like LeBron. MJ was a planet and you take everything in his orbit. I didn’t realize that. This isn’t a parallel.
“But it’s a crazy time with the media, especially when they went down 2-0 in New York (in the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals) and he went gambling with his dad. The media made a big deal about it and was trying to tear him down. That was interesting as well. I didn’t know that. I was too young to know that was going on.”

Many critics argued that the Lakers superstar “has it worse” than other basketball stars. However, most of these critics weren’t even born in the Jordan era. The Chicago Bulls legend had a bunch of reporters following his steps. Reporters destroyed his social life, wrote about his vices and even condemned his decisions.
We live in the era of social media. Fans and analysts criticize LeBron on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Jordan was criticized on radio and TV shows. as you can see, both players received similar treatment.
LeBron and his Lakers teammates are getting ready for a big season ahead. The NBA season will hopefully resume in the next few weeks. LeBron, Anthony Davis and the rest of the guys plan to win a title. 2020 is full of challenges, and the coronavirus is the biggest of them all. At least 15 players tested positive for the virus.
