Mohamed Sanu’s Trainer Provides Encouraging Update On WR’s Ankle Injury Recovery

Mohamed Sanu will soon hit the field and he recovers perfectly from his ankle injury. The Patriots nation was worried about Sanu’s performance on the field because of his physical condition. However, he will be able to hit the ground running without any problem.

The veteran wideout didn’t live up to the expectations last season. New England traded a second-round pick away to get Sanu. His first season with the Patriots was shorter due to the ankle injury he sustained in his third game with the team. Sany only missed one game due to that injury, but he was nothing like he used to be before.

Sanu’s trainer, Hilton Alexander, said that his player is on his way to regain his power.

“I would tell you he’s probably faster, quicker, leaner and in better shape now than prior to the surgery,” Alexander told ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “I would say he’s way ahead of any doctor’s knowledge or prediction where he would have been at this point. Way ahead of the curve.”

The trainer said his wideout “has a huge chip on his shoulder” ahead of the 2020 season.

“I think he knows he was a shell of himself toward the end of the season. He wasn’t in the position where he could do the best he could and be able to offer that Mohamed Sanu that everybody has grown to love all those years in Cinci and Atlanta,” Alexander said. “I know the fans didn’t get a chance to see 100 percent Mohamed Sanu. I promise you, that is a huge chip on his shoulder now.”

Coming out of a less-than-stellar season won’t be Sanu’s best motivation for the upcoming season. The wideout will turn 31 in August and he will enter the final year of his deal. Let’s see how will things develop for the team.

The Patriots will enter the first season without the star quarterback, and they will have all the talent to move on. Sanu will join a talented group of receivers and he will see more action in 2020.

The Patriots will move on with a strong roster comprised of a lot of new names.
