Kevin Durant Explains Why LeBron James Is ‘Easily’ the Real MVP This Season

LeBron James is the real MVP of this season. The Los Angeles Lakers are currently playing in the Western Conference Finals. The Lakers and the Denver Nuggets are in a battle and so far, the Lakers have come out on top. They are currently up 2-0 and look to take control of the series soon. The Lakers are easily the more talented team.

But that does not necessarily mean the Lakers have an easy win. It is obvious that the Lakers can and should win if they play to their potential. And that should not be the case, even more so now that LeBron James has some beef.

He was not very happy with what the MVP voters voted in this years ballet. He talked about being left out and boy was he angry.

Kevin Durant Explains Why LeBron James Is ‘Easily’ the Real MVP This Season

“It pissed me off. That’s my true answer,” said James. “It pissed me off because out of 101 votes, I got 16 first-place votes. That’s what pissed me off more than anything. Not saying the winner wasn’t deserving of the MVP, but that pissed me off.”

“I finish second a lot in my career, either from a championship and now four times as an MVP,” he said.

And now, Kevin Durant has come out with his opinion on the MVP award this season. Durant knows a thing or two about being voted as the MVP. He was awarded the MVP in a previous season and rightfully so. Here is what he had to say about LeBron being left out.

“The criteria is the regular season, but I understand,” Durant said recently. “I feel the same way you feel. I think that they should evaluate the whole season, playoffs included. If you include the playoffs, the Bron is easily the MVP. But I see why, with the rules now, why Giannis was the MVP. His numbers [were] crazy.”

LeBron is the real MVP based on team success along. Sure, the Bucks had a better regular season record. But look at the playoffs. It is clear that LeBron has led his team to a better standing. What do you think?
