Watch: Patriots’ Deatrich Wise Score First Touchdown Of NFL Career

The New England Patriots hit two touchdowns in seven seconds of the game against the Las Vegas Raiders. It was a good win for the team, and Deatrich Wise hit his first touchdown with the Patriots.

Pats players swelled their lead over the Raiders to 29-13 in the fourth quarter on Rex Burkhead’s third TD of the game. The Raiders were shocked, and they didn’t even think that things could go from bad to worse.

The first play after the kickoff ended up with a strip sack on Derek Carr in the end zone. Shilique Calhoun and Deatrich Wise got to the Raiders QB and Wise recovered the loose ball for a score.

This was a big play and fans definitely have something to cheer on.

Deatrich Wise hits his first touchdown for the win

Wise’s touchdown is actually the Patriots’ ninth non-offensive TD since the beginning of the 2019 season. It’s also the highest mark in the NFL.

Sony Michel led all rushers with 117 yards on just nine carries. This includes 38 and 48-yard romps. Burkhead finished the game with three touchdowns and 98 yards from scrimmage for the Pats.

Undrafted rookie J.J. Taylor comes in with 43 yards on 11 yards on 11 carries as the team had 250 rushing yards.

New England forced three turnovers and scored on one. The Raiders also scored touchdowns on two of their five red-zone trips and went 3-for-9 on third down.

These plays helped the Pats overcome Cam Newton’s performance. He completed 17 of 28 passes for 162 yards and one score with one interception in the win.

New England was shockingly undisciplined with their defensive substitutions. They forced them to burn all three of the second-half timeouts before the halfway mark of the fourth quarter.

The Patriots are 2-1, and they will next travel to Kansas City to confront the Chiefs. It’s a tough game for the team, and Newton will have to level up his performance. Head coach Bill Belichick will point to all the mistakes players made throughout the game.
