Colin Cowherd Gives His Take On If Bill Belichick Have Master Plan For Patriots

Colin Cowherd has come out asking the question of whether or not Bill Belichick has a master plan this season. The Patriots are not looking verygood so far this season. It has been very eye opening to see them struggle so much, especially on the offensive side of the field. Many fans thought Cam Newton would come in an immediately have a big impact. And at the beginning, it seemed like they might be right.

Sadly, they have taken a step back since all of the COVID stuff hit. Cam Newton tested positive for COVID about a month ago and had to sit out a game. This forced the Patriots to play with a back up and it did not go well. Belichick did say that the team was taking it hour by hour.

“I feel like I had to make the decisions on what’s best for our football team, and what’s best for our football team is the health and safety of our team,” Belichick said. “That’s our No. 1 priority. Without that, we don’t have a team. We have to maintain the integrity of not only our football team, but also the extended team — our families and the loved ones for every member of our team. That’s got to come first. And I think everybody recognizes that, feels the same way.”

“We’ll have to work maybe a little bit harder to make up for some of the on-the-field practice time. We’ve missed this week, but we can’t compromise the health, safety and well-being of our football team, including our staff. I don’t think that’s the answer. I don’t think that’s the way to go. And in the long term, I think that’s going to be much more detrimental than a short-term adjustment. We have to make in order to maximize everyone’s health and safety.

Bill Belichick always has a plan though, right? Well, take a look at what Colin Cowherd had to say about this recently.

“Bill Belichick has spent the last seven months doing stuff he’s never done. And the fans totally get it and the media doesn’t,” Cowherd said on FOX Sports 1. ” … Sometimes, the people are right. And the people know what Belichick’s doing and the media has a blind spot. He’s too smart to want to be 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 for five years.

“So Belichick, now the league is catching on — this is why I predicted they would go 5-11. I said he’s rebooting, and he’s gonna be very coy and he doesn’t want people to think he’s doing this, right? So he’s doing things that he’s never done before.”

The Patriots have a lot of stuff to work on. What do you think about this?
