NBA experts thought that LeBron would return to the lineup in the game against New York. He didn’t return and everyone thought he was returning to game action on Wednesday. No, LeBron didn’t play. He is taking his time off and we sort of understand it. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel needs him to be 100% ready for the postseason.

LeBron James sends motivational message to his fans

LeBron didn’t really address his absence. He was just trying to deliver a message for his fans. Houston has one of the worst teams in the league. Vogel didn’t want to rush his superstar back to play. LA has a couple of days off and LeBron will have even more time to rest.

LA needs to play safe at the moment. If LeBron deals with another setback, Lakers players will have to go home earlier than expected. Their season will be over.

LeBron’s absence wasn’t the only problem LA had to deal with last night. Anthony Davis didn’t play too. The big man said that he hurt his groin in the game against the Knicks. It’s a minor issue but Vogel is careful with his superstars. Davis needs to be healthy and strong for the postseason.

Dave McMenamin from ESPN reported that AD will join LeBron on the bench for the match against Houston.

AD has had to deal with more injuries than LeBron. Of course, he downplayed the seriousness of his injuries after the win over NY. Well, Davis won’t take the risk. He wants to win another ring with his team.
