Lakers’ Andre Drummond Gives 2-Word Response on Where he Will Play Next Season

Where will Andre Drummond play next season? The big man has a few ideas. Well, he cracked a few jokes to confuse fans. The Los Angeles Lakers brought him mid-season but he didn’t really help the team do much. Things got tricky this year and a lot of roles changed within the organization.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis will play with the Lakers next year. They won a title inside the NBA bubble and they want another one. This year was a failure and LA was eliminated in the first round of the playoff series. The Phoenix Suns did better in the series. LeBron and AD won’t give up and they will try to go for another one next year.

Drummond may not join the mighty duo.

Andre Drummond may not be a Laker next season

In his recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, Drummond talked about his situation and his top preferences. His response will shock you. He only needed two words to shock us all. Can you make any guesses?

“Shanghai, China,” the big man said. He was joking, of course.

In another interview, Drummond said he hopes to play with the Lakers again. I mean, playing alongside LeBron and AD sure means a thing.

“This is an incredible time in my career to play with LeBron James instead of against him… Hopefully, things go the right way, and we’ll try to run it back again,” Drummond said.

In the 2020-21 NBA season, Drummond averaged 11.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game. His presence in the frontcourt would benefit the franchise only if he decides to stay for another year. Let’s see how will things turn for the big man.

Players like him a lot and he earned himself a lot of fans in the past few months.

General manager Rob Pelinka will try to add more power to the roster. He will have to make some changes and hopefully, he will make the right calculations in the offseason. The Lakers need a big man and Drummond is a good fit. Will he stay around for a while?
