Rob Gronkowski Makes Exciting Statement On Upcoming Patriots vs Buccaneers Matchup

Rob Gronkowski left the New England Patriots and retired, but came out of his retirement to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Big Gronk retired to take care of his body and recover from his injuries. It was a long break for the tight end and he had enough time to rest and recover.

Gronk feels great and he signed with the Bucs. He wanted to play with Tom Brady. I guess this was the biggest reason he had to come out of his retirement. Gronk and Brady helped the Buccaneers win a championship. They won the Super Bowl in their first season with the Bucs.

Gronkowski to challenge the Patriots with the help of his Buccaneers teammates

The Buccaneers didn’t come to New England to challenge the Patriots last season. However, they will definitely come to meet the Patriots in Week 4. Is Gronk excited about this game?

The Buccaneers tight end had an interview with Ben Volin from The Boston Globe. He predicted that the Patriots-Buccaneers game will be an “epic” occasion for both teams. Gronkowski and TB12 will return to Gillette Stadoum on Oct. 4. Players will return for the first time as opponents of head coach Bill Belichick and his team. According to Gronk, it will be an “emotional affair”.

“Epic, he said. “How can it not be? You know, we’re in the middle of training camp right now. When that week comes, I’m sure that’s when the emotions will start flying. But just focusing in right now on being a better football player and staying in shape.”

Gronkowski likes to talk about the highly anticipated game, but his main focus is on getting ready for the 2021 NFL season. He is all-in when it comes to winning games. The Bucs are champions this time and Gronk wants more of this popularity.

The tight end played nine seasons for the Patriots in the period between 2010 and 2018. He won three Super Bowls and had four All-Pro Bods. The veteran retired in 2019 but decided to unretired and play football. It was a good decision for the veteran.
