Weird Bill Belichick Mac Jones Postgame Interaction Emerges

The New England Patriots lost their game against the New Orleans Saints. It was a tough game and the offense struggled to make an impact. They got off to a really slow start and things didn’t get much better later in the game. Yes, players made some mistakes today, but why did Bill Belichick grab rookie quarterback Mac Jones by the wrist? Everyone noticed this and Greg Bedard offered detailed description.

Boston Sports Journal photographer Adam Richins caught the whole thing on camera and let’s just say this was weird.

So, Jones was sitting on the bench, obviously not amused by the situation. His team was losing the game and it was awful. Both tight ends and the offense failed him. You get the idea, right? Jones didn’t look good and he was probably going through some of the mistakes his team made.

At one point, Saints quarterback Jameis Winston came over to do the quarterback greeting and Jones got up. Once he started walking towards Winston, Belichick blocked him and grabbed him by his hand.

That is not all. Belichick said something and turned Jones around. They left the field and made their way to the locker room.

This interaction really happened as per league source, but we don’t have more information about it. We don’t really know what happened after the game. Belichick will probably stay mum and ignore questions related to this situation.

Bill Belichick, Mac Jones, and other Patriots have to win more games

The rookie had a bad game, going 30-of-51 for 270 yards, a touchdowns, and three interceptions with a passer rating of 55.2.

Players will spend a lot of time watching the tape. Yes, the Saints are one of the best coached teams in the NFL and Belichick knows it. But, his team has to stop being inconsistent. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will come to Foxboro next week. They can’t let the same thing happen again. Tom Brady is coming to town and Belichick has to use his best gameplan to beat his former quarterback. Jones will have the most challenging game in his career.
