Rob Pelinka Gives Bold Admission About Talen Horton-Tucker

Rob Pelinka has given an interesting admission about Talen Horton-Tucker and it will likely surprise a few people. The Lakers are getting ready to start the season on October 20th against the Golden State Warriors. It should be a great game that will give the fans what they have been waiting for for a long time. The Lakers roster is looking quite a bit different than it did only one season ago.

Now, GM Pelinka has given some interesting thoughts on Talen Horton-Tucker.

“There’s nothing Talen doesn’t have to keep him from being an elite player,” Pelinka said about him.

“We got away from that last year,” Vogel said about being able to play with a smaller roster. “He’ll play more in the middle. You might see some centerless lineups, too. We have the type of team where we can really open the floor up.”

This is pretty interesting stuff. But he is not the only big addition to the team. Russell Westbrook has also joined the Lakers. He is very excited given he was a fan of the team before playing in the NBA.

“Some of these dreams don’t come true for people like myself,” Westbrook said.

“Being from LA, you always wish that you could play for your home team,” Westbrook said. “That’s definitely something that always circled around in my mind. Maybe one day? But I always would come back and be like, ‘Ah, that probably won’t happen.’ I just had to wait and see. But now that we’re here, I’m going to take full advantage of it.”

“LeBron is one of the best players to play this game, and his ability to do everything on the floor allows me to just figure it out,” Westbrook said. “I’m coming to a championship-caliber team, and my job is to make his game easy for him, and I’ll find ways to do that. As it pertains to ball-handling, it really doesn’t matter. There’s many different ways you can impact the game without having the ball in your hands. I’ve been able to do that for a number of years, and we’ll figure it out.”
