Damien Harris Explains Why He Used To ‘Hate’ Patriots

The New England Patriots have a bunch of talented players on the current roster. They all love playing under head coach Bill Belichick. Well, some of them weren’t really fans of the Patriot Way in the past. Can you believe that Damien Harris used to hate the Patriots? Yes, THE Damien Harris. The veteran is actually winning games as a Patriot.

The Patriots veteran appeared on Kyle Van Noy’s “Elite Eatz” show on YouTube and talked about so many different things. He grew up as a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Will you be surprised by the fact that Harris actually hated former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his team? We are definitely shocked…

“No offense, it definitely wasn’t the Patriots. It definitely wasn’t the Patriots,” Harris said when asked to name his favorite NFL team in his childhood. “I was a Colts fan growing up, back with like Peyton (Manning), Dallas Clark, all those guys. So, obviously, I used to hate the Patriots just because, like, those AFC title games, I was always hoping the Colts would pull it out, win the Super Bowl, whatever. And it always seemed like, no matter what, the Pats always came out on top.”

When it comes to Harris and his performance with the Patriots, he is still in the concussion protocol. Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson left Sunday’s game due to head injuries. Patriots running backs coach Ivan Fears said Harris’ status is a “big question mark.”

New England was short on running backs in their last game. Brandon Bolden and J.J. Taylor are the other running backs on the active roster.

Patriots coaches are discussing the current situation but they will definitely wait and see what happens with Harris and Stevenson.

New England looks really good in the last few games and it seems like Patriots players have built excellent relationship. Harris and Mac Jones work really well on the field and they are actually great friends. These two will have great success in the regular season.
