Mac Jones Shows Leadership by Praising Two Teammates After Strong Performance

The New England Patriots had a really strong game against the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Bill Belichick and his assistants did a good job on the sideline, leading the team to another win. Patriots players are in the middle of a nice winning streak. It’s much better than anyone expected. I guess everyone has to get used to Mac Jones and his leadership.

Head coach Belichick decided to trust his first rounder and even gave him a chance to lead the team. Jones embraced the new role and his confidence is contagious. He may be a rookie but he is doing an excellent job as a leader. Jones is not like someone who hides behind veterans. No. He is all-in when it comes to winning.

New England celebrated a blowout win over the Browns and Jones praised two particular players. He has great chemistry with tight end Hunter Henry. Belichick got the veteran in the offseason and this was one of the best moves for the head coach. Henry really likes Jones and supports his leadership on the field. These two did wonders on the field this Sunday and connected on multiple occasions.

Mac Jones shows leadership skills when praising Meyers, Henry

Henry is not the only player Jones praised. He had great comments for Jakobi Meyers. The wide receiver had his first career touchdown. This game was really important for Meyers.

Jakobi is a great player and a great team player and teammate…We’re really happy to be able to play together and hopefully we play together for a long time.”

“With the red zone, we have a great plan with Josh. My job is to get it to the person who’s open. Hunter has a really good feel for red zone offense.”

Unfortunately, the celebration of Meyers’ TD was brought to an end as everyone gathered around Browns cornerback Troy Hill. He was lying on the field for quite some time and had to be carted off of the field. Luckily, he has movement in his extremities and we don’t have a reason to be worried at this point.
