Patriots RB Shares Surprising Childhood Feelings About His Current Team

Damien Harris is one of the most efficient players on the New England Patriots’ roster. His performance has helped the Patriots win a lot of games. Harris was brilliant in 2020 and he is having another incredible season. Well, do you know that the Patriots RB didn’t like the Patriots during his childhood?

You read it right. The New England Patriots weren’t his favorite childhood team. Moreover, he hated the team. That’s hilarious!

Patriots RB had other favorite team in his childhood

The running back joined his teammate Kyle Van Noy on Elite Eatz and shared a few interesting stories.

“No offense, it definitely wasn’t the Patriots. It definitely wasn’t the Patriots. I was a Colts fan growing up, back with like Peyton (Manning), Dallas Clark, all those guys. So, obviously, I used to hate the Patriots just because, like, those AFC title games, I was always hoping the Colts would pull it out, win the Super Bowl, whatever. And it always seemed like, no matter what, the Pats always came out on top.”

Several players have shared similar stories. Being part of the Patriots is a big deal, but some players have a hard time fitting in. Bill Belichick has a different way of doing things, and players can’t accept the Patriot Way.

Players have been in and out of the team. New England has offered players a chance to win games and it’s an experience you get once in your lifetime. Patriots built a dynasty and being part of the whole thing is a big deal. Of course, it’s hard and there are no days off. Belichick won’t really give his players a chance to rest more than necessary.

When it comes to Harris, he is ready to continue playing his best football. Coaches have high expectations from him and Harris is more than proud to be a Patriot.  Harris suffered a head injury in the win over the Carolina Panthers, and the Patriots have yet to make a decision on their status. The Patriots are playing against the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.
