Kobe and Gianna Bryant Memorialized at Helicopter Crash Site With Beautiful Statue

Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, right outside Los Angeles. Their death shocked the entire world. It was a nightmare for every basketball fan out there. Nine people died that day, including the pilot of the helicopter. Artist Dan Medina paid special honor to Kobe and Gianna, and went to the crash site to place the statue he made.

On Wednesday, the sculptor honored the victims by placing a statue depicting the Black Mamba and his little girl. It shows Kobe with his hand on Gigi’s shoulder as she carries a basketball. The statue will remain at the site temporarily.

Photos of this statue made rounds on the internet. Medina made sure the names of all nine of the crash victims are inscribed on a plague on the base of the statue.

Kobe and Gianna won’t be forgotten after the crash, their statue is here to honor them

Medina will remove the statue Wednesday at sunset. He has also sculpted a 7-feet statue, hoping to get the talks moving forward on how to set it up in downtown Los Angeles.

Vanessa is dealing with another problem at the moment. She filed a lawsuit seeking millions of dollars in damages for the emotional distress she suffered. Vanessa found out that LA County sheriff’s and fire department personnel shared graphic photos of the remains of Kobe and Gigi.

Kobe, Gigi, and six others were flying from Orange County to a youth basketball tournament at the Mamba Sports Academy in Ventura County. The helicopter went through thick fog in the San Fernando Valley and hit the hillside.

In February 2021, the National Transportation Safety Board issued a report blaming pilot Zobayan for the helicopter crash. They say that a series of poor decisions led the pilot to fly into the fog where he didn’t know his helicopter was plunging instead of climbing.

The world will remember Kobe as one of the most competitive players to ever play the game. Gigi would have been equally successful. Rest in peace, Black Mamba! Rest in peace Mamba Girl!
