Massive Jerami Grant Trade Offer The Pistons Rejected From Lakers Revealed

The Los Angeles Lakers showed great interest in Detroit Pistons star Jerami Grant and they even made an offer to his team. The Lakers are in a really uncomfortable situation right now. Anthony Davis is out and a few other players struggled with injuries lately. The front office tried to make a move in order to save the season. Was Grant the right player to join LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and the rest of the Lakers players? The Lakers are in desperate need of another key piece right now.

According to recent reports, the Lakers made an offer, but Grant wanted more. The Detroit Pistons wanted more for their talented player as well.

The Pistons didn’t want to trade Jerami Grant for the Lakers offer

What did Pelinka offer to get Grant? He wanted to trade Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and a 2027 pick. Detroit didn’t want any of this.

“Reason being: That 2027 first is clearly the most valuable trade asset that the Lakers currently possess. The Lakers have tried, with no luck yet, to package that pick with Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn in an attempt to acquire Jerami Grant from Detroit.”

Trading THT doesn’t come as a surprise at this point. He is an incredible player, but struggles with inconsistency. He and Nunn are probably only tradable players on Pelinka’s roster. They can’t trade Westbrook because he is set to earn a lot of millions this year. The same goes to his upcoming season if he opts in.

Nunn is dealing with an injury at the moment but he should be better later in the season. There was a big setback in his condition as confirmed by head coach Frank Vogel. Nunn asked Lakers fans to be patient with him and promised a lot of great games. He may have good games but we don’t know if he will be able to keep his Lakers jersey number on for longer.

There are several options for the team at the moment, and Pelinka has to act fast. The Lakers have lost too many games this season.
