Lakers Fans Furious With Ex-NBA Player’s Kobe Bryant Comment

Kobe Bryant earned an army of fans throughout his entire career. He carried the Los Angeles Lakers to five championships. He became the Black Mamba and many would say that he is one of the best basketball players of all time. Well, Jason Williams wouldn’t agree on this one and he made the wrong Kobe comment. NBA fans aren’t happy at all.

The former Sacramento Kings guard appeared on the Player’s Choice show to talk about several topics, including the Lakers icon. Williams talked about the best Lakers players and their accomplishment within the organization.

According to Williams, Kobe doesn’t belong to his top 5 players.

“Kobe’s not as high on my list as people would really think he should be,” Williams said. “I’m not even sure he’s on the top five of the all-time greatest Lakers.”

Williams shocked fans with his Kobe comment

This didn’t sit well with Lakers fans.

“Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard from a basketball player,” one fan said.

“To say he isn’t a top-5 Laker is insane,” another fan wrote.

The Los Angeles Lakers had a lot of great players on the team. Karee Abdul-Jabbar had great stats and ranked really high in the NBA. The same goes to Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Jerry West, and Shaquille O’Neal. These players helped the franchise win a lot of games.

Why did Williams say this? Kobe was a star and earned five rings. He was a MPV and young fans look up to him. LA may have had a lot of great players, but Kobe was the best of them all. He was a true leader.

Kobe lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash. He was traveling with his daughter Gigi and seven others. Everyone died and it was the worst nightmare people have to live with. Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, even filed a lawsuit against those who shared images of the crash.

Some would interpret Williams’ comments as disrespect for the memory of the Lakers legend. Kobe is an icon and nothing will ever change that. Williams’ words don’t mean a thing at this point.
