Lakers’ Patrick Beverley Went Off About New Russell Westbrook Rumor

Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook will have to play on the same team after all their altercations. The Los Angeles Lakers traded for Beverley a couple of weeks ago and Westbrook is still a Laker.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka will have to make things work for both players. They talked after Beverley’s trade and this is more than a good sign. NBA insider Marc Stein was the first to confirm the information. Rob Perez took notice of this comment wrote “Sounds good.” Beverley quote-tweeted Perez’s tweet.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham likes Westbrook and his potential on the basketball floor. He trusts Westbrook’s experience and his skill set. Ham wouldn’t trade the veteran at this point just because he has so much to offer. He even plans to use Westbrook and Beverley in the same lineup. That would be great, right?

Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook have to work together

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Beverley was more than happy to become a Laker. He will share the court with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Russ is a Laker, too, and Beverley doesn’t mind joining him in LA.

Trading for Beverley was a big surprise for Lakers fans. Pelinka traded a few players to get Beverley and this addition may be of great help for the franchise in the upcoming season. Beverley has plenty of experience and he can easily fit in the Lakers roster.

Westbrook’s rivalry with Beverley may be a thing of the past. They are teammates now and have a chance to win a title together. Beverley will be happy to get a ring as a Laker.

“We are thrilled to add Patrick Beverley’s toughness and competitive spirit to our team,” Pelinka said on August 25th, via Lakers.com. “We’re confident that Patrick’s ‘3-and-D’ style will fit in nicely with the other pieces of our roster, and align perfectly with Coach Ham’s philosophy of hard work and smart play.”

Let’s see how this goes. The Lakers have made a few moves so far in the offseason and Pelinka has a chance to grab another star player. Any guesses?
