UFC Announcer & Patriots Fan Fires Brutally Honest Take On Mac Jones

The New England Patriots trusted Mac Jones and gave him the keys to the offense, but he has to deal with the frustration of at least one fan. UFC announcer Jon Anik is a diehard Patriots fan, but he doesn’t like Jones’ performance. His comments were more like a warning for Belichick and his assistants. Is Jones the right person to replace Tom Brady?

Anik discussed Jones’ situation in New England during his appearance on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take. Yes, he admits that Jones is a “leader of men,” but doesn’t believe that the second-year quarterback is Belichick’s franchise quarterback. Anik criticized Jones’ “C-arm” and his talent. If you ask the UFC announcer, he will say Jones is “not the guy.”

The Patriots fan criticized Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe

Fun fact? Anik doesn’t believe that Bailey Zappe is the best QB option for the Patriots either. Zappe replaced Jones and his performance was more than decent. Many thought that he could steal Jones’ job overnight, but Belichick didn’t confirm the change. He is happy with Jones at center and things won’t change in the near future.

Zappe was a pleasant surprise for the Patriots. He looks like someone who can perform at a high level, but doesn’t have enough experience to take the leading role in New England.

Jones struggled early in the regular season and NFL analysts were a bit worried about his performance late in the season. The quarterback found his groove and hopefully, he will get even better in the final portion of the season.

If Jones and Zappe fail to lead the team to a big win, Belichick may be forced to look for other quarterback options. He may select another quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft. Of course, he won’t be able to select a top quarterback. The Patriots can get a quarterback prospect later in the draft.

New England had some struggles and the offense faced new challenge this season. NFL fans shouldn’t write them off. Belichick knows his job and he won’t give up without a fight. He is the GOAT, remember?
