Patriots Reportedly Make Decision On Signing Lamar Jackson

The New England Patriots are really close to signing Lamar Jackson this offseason. It’s the hottest topic these days and it seems like the team has made an official decision.

Lamar Jackson surprised a lot of fans with his Twitter announcement. The star quarterback requested a trade from the Baltimore Ravens and he is currently looking for a new home. As you may be guessing, Patriots fans try are eagerly trying to grab the attention of each and every available star. Getting Jackson would be an ideal solution and fans got really excited.

Team owner Robert Kraft added fuel to the fire. Rapper Meek Mill told him that Jackson wants to put on a Patriots uniform. Kraft shared this information with the media during the owner’s meeting. He didn’t say much about this possibility and reminded everyone that Bill Belichick is the one to make the final decision.

When it comes to Jackson, he is looking for a team that will meet “his value.” He took a shot at the Ravens and there’s no going back now. Jackson received a non-exclusive franchise tag this offseason and is free to negotiate with potential suitors. The Ravens may match offers or get two first-rounders if they decide to let him go. Everything points to the fact that Jackson won’t be a Raven next season.

Belichick was pretty reserved when asked about signing Jackson. He is not interested into discussing players on other teams. Simple as that.

Patriots made expected decision on signing Lamar Jackson

Jeff Howe reported that the Patriots aren’t looking for a new quarterback this offseason. Jackson is a star, but Belichick seems to be happy with his options at QB.

Mac Jones will probably get another chance to show his true talent. He struggled in 2022, but the coaching staff will make some changes to set him up for success. The young quarterback doesn’t miss a beat and spends his days at the Patriots facility. His role is not secure and Bailey Zappe still has a chance to snatch his job.
