Lakers Star LeBron James Reveals First Reaction To Playing Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers kicked the Golden State Warriors from the playoff battle. LeBron James and his Lakers teammates will face the Denver Nuggets next. Two great teams will meet in the Western Conference finals and fans are really excited.

LeBron respects great players and the Nuggets earned his respect. They are well-coached and have one of the best players in Nikola Jokic. It won’t be easy, but the Lakers seem to be ready to embrace such a great challenge.

“They’ve been the No. 1 team in the West for a reason, and they’ve played exceptional basketball all year and we’re going [to Denver] with the utmost respect for their ball club, very well coached,” LeBron said during a May 13, 2023 press conference. “And obviously we know the dynamic of what Joker [Nikola Jokic] brings to the game and also Jamal Murray being back fully healthy and the rest of those guys.

“Tomorrow [Saturday] is a day for us to kind of get away from the game a little bit, just kind of chill with our families and kind of recoup a little bit. But Sunday and Monday and then part of Tuesday before the game starts we will lock in on what we need to do to try to be at our best versus a very very good, well-coached team. So, I look forward to it when it gets here.”

LeBron and the Lakers know have already beat the Nuggets

The Lakers have one major advantage in this scenario. They beat the Nuggets in the 2020 Western Conference finals and this experience will help them neutralize the Nuggets.

Anthony Davis revealed that the Lakers will probably spend some time watching the film from the 4-1 series win. Both teams changed over the years, but this shouldn’t be an obstacle for the Lakers. They still have LeBron and AD. Many guys have playoff experience. Dennis Schroder is here and Austin Rivers has been really impressive this season. Darvin Ham trusts his guys and analysts have already predicted a good series for the purple and gold.
