Lakers’ Austin Reaves Drops Truth Bomb On What They Should Feel After Ugly Loss To The Kings

The Los Angeles Lakers deal with serious issues at the moment, and LeBron James’ ankle injury was the last things they needed at this point of the NBA season. The Lakers suffered a terrible loss to the Sacramento Kings and Austin Reaves got really honest about it.

Beating the Los Angeles Clippers hyped Lakers players. They looked good in the loss to the Denver Nuggets and found a way to destroy the Oklahoma City Thunder. Yes, NBA analysts predicted a big win over the Kings. It didn’t happen. De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis did their best to destroy the Lakers and it was one of their road games. LA is back to No.10 in the Western Conference.

LA deals with issues from the past and fans have already seen these before. Players make the same mistakes over and over again. They all made mistakes and Reaves was really frustrated following the unexpected loss. He wanted to see more from his teammates. Going back to familiar problems doesn’t fit in Austin’s plans for the season.

“Super frustrating. You should feel some type of way (individually and as a team),” Reaves said following the loss, per Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet.

Reaves hoped that his teammates would avoid another loss

The Lakers struggled on so many levels. The defense failed to keep the Kings under control. Sacramento got the best of this inefficiency and Fox took the lead early in the game. Lakers head coach Darvin Ham would agree that the point of attack defense was nowhere to be seen. Lakers players even helped Fox deliver 44 points.

Kings players flashed their dominant side. Their aggressiveness helped them win the game. They delivered 76 points in the paint and Reaves’ teammates did just 50. This happened all while Anthony Davis stood by the rim.

To make things worse, LeBron left the game late in the fourth quarter. His ankle injury flared up and he had to go to the locker room. LeBron is not worried about his injury and hopes to see more action in the final stretch of the season.
