LeBron James Downplays Months-Long Ankle Injury After Exiting Lakers Game Vs Kings

LeBron James left the game due to an ankle injury that may have affected his game in the last few games. The four-time NBA champion did his best to play his best basketball. LeBron left Crypto.com Arena in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. His team left the arena with a big loss. It was an ugly 130-120 loss for the purple and gold. Players made some mistakes and ended up losing the match.

King James is not really worried about his injury. He said, “Yeah, I’ll be alright.”

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham spotted the “grimace” LeBron made and called a timeout. The team didn’t share much information on LeBron’s health condition and his injury. The medical staff will evaluate his condition and make a decision on his status.

LeBron is not worried about his ankle injury

Reporters were really curious about the lingering injury and yes, most of the questions LeBron received were related to it. According to him, this was an old issue that got worse during the game.

“It’s just my ankle,” LeBron said. “It’s just what I’ve been dealing with before the break, after the break. Just managing the best way I can. Played the whole third. Sat a little bit to start the fourth. And when I got back in, it kind of just — whatever, just something I’ve been dealing with.”

The Lakers listed LeBron as questionable for many games this season. He is dealing with “left ankle peroneal tendinopathy” or soreness of a tendon on the outer foot/ankle. The king of basketball has missed nine games so far, and hopefully, he won’t miss many more.

“Some games its better than others,” LeBron said. “I didn’t feel it at all against OKC, and I didn’t feel it at all until the fourth quarter tonight. Each game, each day is different.”
