Former Patriots Star CB Stephon Gilmore Doesn’t Hold Back Thoughts On Bill Belichick

Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick didn’t receive the best treatment after his exit from the organization. He wasn’t portrayed nicely in “The Dynasty” and a lot of people disapprove the way he was treated. Former Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore is one of them and he sure had something to say about Belichick and his impact in the NFL.

Gilmore didn’t mince his words. He claims that Belichick is the best head coach he has ever worked with. The Super Bowl LIII win cemented him at the top. Belichick decided to turn his defense into a zone defense and it was a game-changer for his team.

“Just watched The Dynasty. Bill was the greatest coach I’ve ever been around. Don’t let that fool you. I’ll never forget we were a predominantly man team during the 2018 season all the way up to the Super Bowl. When we played the Rams we switched to Zone,” Gilmore wrote on X on Friday.

Gilmore, NFL fans stand by Belichick

A lot of fans jumped on board and voiced their respect for Gilmore. He is no longer part of the Patriots, but has tons of respect for Belichick. We can all agree that Belichick is the best to ever coach a NFL game and everyone knows it, including his doubters.

Fans agree with Gilmore and even called him one of their “favorite former Pats.” Belichick received an unfair treatment and fans don’t like any of it. He deserved better after all the years he spent in New England.

“This is why @BumpNrunGilm0re is one of my favorite former pats. Nothing but facts,” one user wrote.

“Love this from Gilly. The treatment of Bill has been unfair. At the end GM Bill missed on QB and WRs and some O line and that took him out of here. Not his coaching,” wrote another.

“A very obvious hit piece on Bill. And every trustworthy player very vocally opposed. Shoutout Gilly for the lockdown coverage in New England,” a third noted.
