NFL kneelers were quite an issue last season, and it seems like some of the players are ready to proceed with their… tradition? The problem got out of control last season, and the National Football League faced serious problems. Well, Marco Rubio is about to change it all, and he issued some sort of a warning for anthem kneelers.
Rubio just wants to enjoy his NFL games on Sundays. He’s worried about the way athletes bring politics on the field. Nobody wants to talk about politics in the middle of a hot game. “I wish sports were just about sports,” Rubio said. How will NFL kneelers react to this?
The NFL still works on its national anthem policy issues. Remember how the Florida Senator said he’s all for the players’ right to find the best way to protest? Well, he’s more like getting it out of game days.
“Personally, I wish there was a place where we could go on Sundays in the Fall and kind of get away from politics for three hours. That’s how most people feel about it,” the senator said.
So, Rubio can’t really find the right solution to this problem, and we think that the league has to do its best to stop this disrespect. “I don’t know what the right answer is. We got our hands full here!” Rubio said.
President Trump was super irritated by anthem kneelers. For him, this was the ultimate gesture of disrespect for the nation and our ancestors. He fired an avalanche of tweets regarding the situation. “You have to stand proudly for the National Anthem and the NFL owners did the right thing if that’s what they’ve done,” President Trump said in on occasion referring to the NFL efforts to stop the kneeling.
Well, let’s see what happens this season.
