Watch: Lakers Release Amazing LeBron James Video With New Teammates

NBA MVP LeBron James has officially signed with the Los Angeles Lakers and the franchise has already started promoting him by releasing the first official teaser of their newest superstar alongside his new team-mates.

By leaving Cavs in free agency to join the Lakers, James has made the switch from the Eastern Conference to the Western Conference for the first time in his 15-year NBA career.

However, many NBA fans, especially Lakers and Cavs supporters, may take some time in getting used to the King swapping his hometown in Ohio for the bright lights of Los Angeles.

While it’s been a month now since James’ four-year contract worth $154million was announced, this LeBron-themed promo video might help fans adjust to the change better.

The video featuring the three-time NBA champion takes fans back through some of the greatest players to have donned the famous purple and gold jersey: Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant.

Glimpses of James’ jersey flash up on the screen before the end of the video with the narrator saying “let the show begin” as his No 23 jersey appears in full.

It appears that this video has already achieved its goal – firing up Lakers fans, who rushed to respond on the social media.

One supporter tweeted: “This video got me fired up!!!!”

Another posted: “Showtime is back.”

The 33-year-old’s debut for the Lakers might happen next month when they begin their pre-season against the Denver Nuggets on September 30.

They meet the Nuggets again on October 2 at the Staples Center before hosting the Sacramento Kings.

Lakers’ take on cross-city rivals LA Clippers is scheduled for October 6 at the Honda Center, followed by two games against NBA champions Golden State Warriors.

Fixtures for the 2018/19 season have not yet been released, but are expected to be announced early this month.
