New England Patriots Media Reacts To Catastrophic Loss Vs. Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars destroyed the New England Patriots in Week 2. Blake Bortles shred the defending AFC champions to bits, and the offense couldn’t protect quarterback Tom Brady from the Jaguars’ pass-rush. Yes, we’d all agree that the Jags act like they’re a five-time Super Bowl champion, and made the Patriots look like an inexperienced team.
Experts would agree that this was the ugliest game in the Pats history, and the media let them know that their game was bad. Even Patriots players at the sideline were as angry as the media.
The weather made things worse. The New England are used to playing their game in nice weather, and we have seen them play in the snow. They are used to such conditions, and unlike most quarterbacks, that’s Brady’s favorite time of the year. The quarterback played in 97 degrees for the first time in his career. The heat index in Florida got as high as 107.
It's 97 degrees, officially the hottest game in #Patriots team history, passing the previous record of 94 degrees at the Cardinals on Sept. 29, 1991. #NEvsJAX pic.twitter.com/iazOcapkw7

The Patriots are into letting their offense develop a rhythm and save the possession for later in the game. However, yesterday the team decided to take the ball first, and of course, they didn’t score on that drive.
Patriots call heads.
It's heads.

There was also a trash talk. Again. And no, it wasn’t Jalen Ramsey. Telvin Smith couldn’t keep his mouth shut, and yapped at Gronk after the game. But, the last time a young team talked trash to Brady, the Patriots beat them in the Super bowl. Yes, we’re referring to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Jaguars are pretty strong at their defensive line. Calais Campbell, Malik Jackson and Marcell Dareus did a really good job. The Patriots played without Nate Solder, and the offensive line really struggled.
Trey Flowers was evaluated for concussion, and that’s something the Patriots can’t afford at the moment. But, things like this happen all the time, and Belichick sure has a backup plan.
Blake Bortles started the game and completed 11-of-14 passes for 135 yards and two scores. New England shut down Deshaun Watson last weak, but they didn’t know what to do with Bortles.
Communication error with the OL leads to a free shot on Brady on third down. Gostkowski 54 FG is way right, and probably short. Jaguars take over at their 44

Better luck next time, guys!
