LeBron James reacts to Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight

The Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight is the hottest topic today, and even the king of basketball had his reaction to it.

Same as any other boxing fan around the world, LeBron James was really focused on the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight. Yes, we all saw that Alvarez won via a majority decision. But, if you ask LeBron, he’d say it was one of the best fights he has ever seen.

LeBron is a top athlete, and he knows how to recognize a raw power. He always respects winners in other sports, and sure appreciates a nice round.

“One of the best fights I’ve ever seen!! Ultimate competitors in @Canelo @GGGBoxing!! Salute to the both of you. Could watch y’all fight any day,” King James wrote on Twitter.

The match was rather anticipated, and most fans would say it was the most anticipated fight of the year. The initial encounter sure ended up unconvincingly. This time, the judges noticed the tilt tipping over to the Mexican’s side, and declared a winner. They outnumbered the judge who scored the match 114-114.

Alvares (50-1-2, 34 KOs) holds the WBA and WBC middleweight titles. Golovkin had the first loss of his professional career after a total of 40 matches.

The 12-round match was packed with hard blows, and we saw that coming. Both Alvarez and Golovkin received a nice dose of punches. Golovkin was a bit more aggressive, though, and threw more punches. However, Alvarez landed his own in a stronger manner.

“I am a great fighter and I showed it tonight. I showed my victory with facts. He was the one who was backing up. I feel satisfied because I gave a great fight. It was a clear victory,” Alvarez said.

Every boxing fan is looking forward to the next match, and the predictions are already out.
