NBA Legend Kobe Bryant Works Out With Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard is getting ready for his first season with the Toronto Raptors. The San Antonio Spurs All-Star forward is pretty serious about the new team, and there’s this photo of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant working out with Kawhi Leonard and a few other members of the Raptors organization.

Jeremy Castlebery joined Kobe Bryant and Kawhi Leonard. He was hired by the Raptors after playing with Leonard and the Spurs.

Leonard was ranked No.12 on Sport Illustrated’s Top 100 list of players. He didn’t play a lot in the 2017-18 season. The forward was traded to the new team over the summer along with the brilliant Danny Green in an exchange for DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl.

Kawhi bought a house in Toronto, meaning he already plans to sign a contract extension with the new team. Well, we’re not trying to say that he’s pushing the deal too far.

The All-Star forward played in nine games after his quadriceps injury before the 2017-18 season got underway. Kawhi averaged 16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while shooting 46.8 percent from the court. He was also also the Defensive Player of the Year, and the last time he played on the court was on Jan. 13 in the game against the Denver Nuggets. Kawhi scored 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting, and grabbed eight rebounds. He dished out four assists and had four steals for the Spurs.

After his first season with the Raptors, the team can give him a five-year contract worth $190 million. But, if he decided to leave, Kawhi may sign a four-year deal with another NBA team and get $141 million. Could he join the Los Angeles Lakers? This depends on his willingness to play with LeBron James.
Kawhi expressed his interest to play with the Lakers, but the contract never happened.
