Practice Report: Edelman And Brown Present, Mystery Player Arrives

Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and offensive tackle Trent Brown were active in Wednesday’s practice after leaving the terrible game against the Tennessee Titans with a few injuries.

Edelman and Brown left the game due to ankle and back injuries, and did not come back to the field. Brown missed snaps earlier in the contest due to an illness.

Tight end Dwyane Allen hurt his knee during a collision with Brown on Sunday, and he was the only Patriots player to miss the practice. There is no need for a surgery, but Brown will probably miss “a few weeks,” as confirmed by Tuesday’s report by Mike Giardi.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski and right guard Shaq Mason were present in practice after being out of the last couple of games.

Media members noticed a new player at practice, and it was a defensive player sporting No. 50. This number belonged to linebacker Nicholas Grigsby who was released along with running back Kenjon Barner.

The New England Patriots brought cornerback Duke Dawson out of injured reserve, but still had an empty spot on their 53-man roster.

Wednesday’s practice was the only session of the week for the Patriots. The team is on a bye this weekend, and will play next Sunday against the New York Jets.

According to latest reports, the mystery player is linebacker Ramon Humber. The Boston Herald’s Kevin Duffy confirmed the info. Humber played with the New England Patriots in the 2016 preseason, right before joining the Buffalo Bills. He was released last week, and the Patriots got him back. This is good news for the team, as they usually have luck with newly added players. The best part of it is the fact that Humber knows how things work in Foxboro, and he will sure play well with the team.
