Extreme Weather Set To Slam Kansas City For AFC Championship

Weather forecast predicts that Kansas City will be hit with terrible weather next Sunday. The New England Patriots will arrive at Arrowhead Stadium to confront the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.

Experts report that Kansas City will experience record cold temperatures. There was a snowstorm in the area on Friday night and Saturday morning. The Chiefs played their Divisional Round game in snow. Chiefs offensive lineman Jeff Allen was stuck in the snow on his way to the game. Temperatures will drop below zero.

The Associated Press reported that the temperature will range from 10 degrees to below zero. This may be the coldest game in Arrowhead Stadium history.

Andy Reid is not afraid of the freezing temperatures

Head coach Andy Reid talked about the weather forecast during Monday’s press conference.

“It’ll be a little chilly, and that’s okay,” Reid said. “We’re at that time of the year and you go play. I don’t think it’ll be an issue. I didn’t think it was really an issue (Saturday). Like I said, I thought the people that took care of the stadium did a great job, whether it was the grounds crew taking care of the field itself or the people working to make sure they got the majority of the snow out of there so the fans could sit if they wanted to sit. They didn’t do much sitting, but if they wanted to, they had a chance to.”

“It’s just a focus you put on whether you’re receiving the ball, whether you’re throwing the ball, carrying the ball, all those things,” he added. “You’ve got to make sure that you focus on that and take care of it, then you go. We continued to practice outside when it was cold, so it’s all part of it. You just kind of adapt.”
