LeBron James Gives Vince Carter the Ultimate Compliment on His 42nd Birthday

LeBron James is great for so many reasons. He knows how to play basketball, loves his family and respects other legendary athletes. King James has words of praise for other legends, and never forgets to pay respect to them. This time he offered up high praise for Vince Carter on his 42nd birthday.

“Best in game and dunker period point blank!” LeBron tweeted while complimenting Vince Carter.

King James did not left any room for discussion as almost every NBA fan would agree that Carter is the best dunker to the floor. There is no better proof than the legendary play against the Clippers in 2001. It does not get any better than that. Let’s not forget that he had an excellent performance at the NBA Slam Dunk contest in 2000.

One thing stands for sure: Great recognizes great. Both LeBron and Carter are great.

Vince Carter goes strong

Carter is part of the Atlanta Hawks at the moment. He is playing his 21st season in the league, and does not even think of stepping back. He averages 16.7 minutes per game and shoots over 40 percent from the field.

LeBron showed the greatest sign of respect for the legend. Calling Carter “the best” for his birthday? Awesome!

However, some say that The Best will probably retire at the end of the campaign.

“Oh, it would definitely mean a lot,” said Carter. “It’s just the cycle was broken and just the change when you walk into the arena now that it’s been a few years and the appreciation for my time there. It doesn’t get any better than that. Obviously, like every player when you play this game, your ultimate goal, of course, is to win a championship, and when you walk away from the game, you hope to walk into an arena and see your jersey up there. For that to happen, that would be amazing, and that would be a dream come true.”
