Update: NBC Retracts Report That Lakers Team Bus Left Without Luke Walton After Loss to Pelicans

The incident in which the Los Angeles Lakers left without head coach Luke Walton started making headlines from the very first minute. However, something changed and NBC retracted the initial report about the incident.

“Contrary to an early story now removed from the NBC’s site, Luke Walton did not miss the Lakers bus back to the hotel last night. He was on a later bus. We apologize for the mistake.”

NBC was the first to report that the Lakers left without Luke Walton, and some said it has something to do with his inability to bring the team to another win. Others say it is LeBron James who does not want Walton around. Well, one thing stands for sure. There was a report suggesting that the Lakers left town without the head coach, and someone retracted it. So, what happened out there?

Following LA’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, LeBron James expressed his disappointment with his teammates. The team left the area, but the head coach was not around.

“So this was interesting. I was talking to some SKC staffers I know as the Lakers’ team bus is pulling off. Suddenly, Luke Walton comes around the corner. Bus gone. It had to come back for the coach. Damn shame.”

Was it LeBron? Was he trying to bring out a good statement and place himself on that position. The head coach better work on the team’s chances to win another game, because they are out of the playoff picture at the moment. of course, this is something haters talk about these days.

Walton loses control over the team. It seems like veterans are unhappy with the coaches. The bus left without Walton, and there has to be something in this story. A detail we missed. Let’s wait for an official statement from the team. We are waiting for it.
