Chris Bosh Tells Amazing Story Of Playing Against LeBron James For The First Time

Retired NBA player Chris Bosh was part of the Miami Heat’s Big 3, alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. The players rocked the floor for a really long time, and won back-to-back titles for the Heat in 2012 and 2013. Yes, they were inseparable.

Before joining the Big 3, Bosh was playing with the Toronto Raptors. He confronted LeBron’s Cavaliers in numerous occasions. In his write-up for The Players’ Tribune, Bosh detailed his first encounter with LeBron.

“A few weeks ago, I was actually just watching old tape of that 2001 ABCD game,” Bosh said.

“He did it all, and he did it all easy. That’s one of the things that sticks out to me, playing it back these years later. It was like the pressure we all felt….. he somehow didn’t feel it. He was just this whole other shade of cool. And then the other thing that sticks out to me, it’s maybe a little more obvious: dude’s game. He already had such a complete game. And I mean — we’re in a gym full of somebodies: athletes, shooters, dunkers. Future college stars. Future PROS. But only one guy in that gym that day had the complete package already. And looking back on it?? That was the camp that really put him on the national map.

“By the end of the game, I asked my coach — well, I asked him the only question there was.

“‘Yo….. Coach….. who is this guy?’

“And he just shook his head. Looked at me almost like his heart was breaking. Like he was about to sit me down and break the news that Santa wasn’t real.

“’That,’ he said. ‘Is LeBron James.’”

LeBron was brilliant throughout his career, and he was an excellent high school player. Bosh confirmed something we all know very well. LeBron is the best player in the NBA, and he has brought so many wins to his teams. Unfortunately, he is missing the playoffs for the first time since 2005, but that’s not his fault. Let’s hope that his next season with the Lakers will be much better than this one. Thumbs up!
