New England Patriots‘ ‘AirKraft’ Airplane Gets Perfect Makeover

The New England Patriots came off another Super Bowl win, and they have fresh rings and more bragging rights. The Patriots AirKraft team airplane is given a makeover to reflect the team’s most recent championship win. The sixth Lombardi Trophy was added to the tail of the plane which has the new 6-time champions logo.

The Patriots’ official Twitter account shared a few photos Friday.

The Patriots became the first NFL team to buy their own plane in 2017. The customized Boeing 767 got a facelift, and this will sure become a tradition.

The New England Patriots have been to three straight Super Bowls, and won two of them. They will probably have the easiest schedules again this season.

However, ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) suggests that the Patriots don’t own the best Super Bowl LIV odds. FPI is a prediction system that takes into consideration several factors.

The honor belongs to the Kansas City Chiefs who were defeated by the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game last season. They have a 16 percent chance of winning the Lombardi Trophy this season.

ESPN.com writes that, “FPI is our prediction model for the NFL. Preseason ratings are based on each team’s Las Vegas win total; last season’s performance on offense, defense and special teams; the number of returning starters; coaching staff changes; and starting and backup quarterbacks.”

The New Orleans Saints own the second-best chance of winning Super Bowl LIV at 15 percent, as suggested by ESPN’s FPI. The Patriots and their Super Bowl LIII opponent, the Rams, are tied for third best, and they have a 12 percent chance of being the last team standing. The Indianapolis Colts have the fourth-best chance of winning Super Bowl LIV.

Here are ESPN’s Super Bowl LIV mathups:

New Orleans Saints vs. Kansas City Chiefs — 7 percent
New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots — 6 percent
Los Angeles Rams vs. Kansas City Chiefs — 6 percent
Los Angeles Rams vs. New England Patriots — 5 percent
New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts — 3 percent

Preseason odds aren’t really important, but we are definitely not surprised to see that head coach Bill Belichick and his players are highly regarded before the 2019 NFL campaign starts off.
